Mayor Signs Community Action Proclamation
May is National Community Action Month, dedicated to recognizing the success of the national Community Action Network. GLEAMNS is one of 1,000-plus Community Action Agencies across the country, working to help individuals and families with low-incomes. This year, GLEAMNS reached out to Greenwood Mayor Welborn Adams to request that he designate May 2018 as Community Action Month. On May 7, 2018, Mayor Adams issued a Proclamation during the Greenwood City Council's Legislative Special Called Business Meeting. He proclaimed May 2018 as National Community Action Month in recognition of the hard work and dedication of GLEAMNS and all Community Action Agencies.
